For over 4 years, Infotool's
diagnostics have given private, public and government leaders
an effective way to create value for their companies, and
translated the path for improving customer loyalty and profitability.
Our success was not simply the science and display of data
collection. Our brand became built around customized survey
design and enhanced diagnostics coupled with precise intervention
recommendations. So, Infotool has become known as the company
that "creates value."
Our next generation of serving clients was the formation
of our new Global Platinum Group - - five of the world's
best known business experts, each with special subject matter
expertise and all authors of best selling books on leadership,
organizational alignment, strategy execution, coaching and
gender diversity.
Infotool's rapid growth is threatening to exceed our service
capability, therefore we need to expand the skills of our
Reselling Partners and build a larger network of highly
trained external and internal experts. A structured transfer
of our knowledge is needed to provide prospective Infotool
partners with the tools and systems thinking they need to
manage their clients and InfoTool projects.
In April, our first advanced Train-The-Trainer program will
be launched and successful graduates will be our initial
class of polished, trained, 'certified' experts eligible
to become part of the Infotool's growing worldwide community.

Armani
Exchange uses InfoTool to Survey MySpace 'Friends' and Wins
New Loyalty Data
Much has been written about the popularity and widespread
use of "new media" like MySpace, Facebook, YouTube
and Second Life. Now advertisers who use these media are
looking to define how
they impact brands. MySpace, for example, has 42 million
visitors a month and is the largest online audience available
to marketers today.
So, what does a MySpace user look like? What are their
demographics? What are their buying habits and brand preferences?
Does advertising on MySpace increase purchase intent? These
are some of the questions that managers at Armani Exchange
had for their interactive ad agency Osmosis. And, Osmosis
turned to InfoTool to find the answers.
In the process they uncovered a new and important application
for InfoTool - how to link and measure the impact of what
an organization does to the reaction and response of consumers/customers.
In the case of Armani Exchange the measures included previously
unknown ROI predictive behaviors and the key factors that
influence customer loyalty.
The Armani Exchange survey consisted of 28 analysis statements,
7 multiple choice lifestyle questions, 8 demographic questions
and 6 open-ended questions.
The survey was conducted among 30,000 consumers who had
identified themselves as 'Friends' of Armani Exchange through
the clothing retailer's MySpace Web page. MySpace is the
leading social networking site and considered to be the
largest audience online. Its 42 million visitors each month
surpass Facebook, YouTube and the combined audiences of
all the 'virtual worlds.'
Choosing which of these media to use and then optimizing
your presence has been a growing challenge to advertisers
in recent years. The survey results gave Armani Exchange
a detailed assessment of their MySpace "Friends'"
online media and retail buying habits, brand preferences,
future purchase intent and a loyalty score.
One of the important outcomes of the survey was the ability
to predict with precision the number of 'Friends' who will
shop at one of the company's retail stores over the next
90 days. When overlaid with average purchase data, the survey
helped determine the future sales volume and value of the
audience. The survey even indicated which products the consumers
are likely to buy.
InfoTool worked with Osmosis, a New York-based interactive
marketing agency and helped define and write the survey
content as well as administer the survey. The agency believes
that the Armani Exchange application is the first of its
type in the "New Media" marketing space.
InfoTool Unveils 2008 Reseller Program Changes
InfoTool has announced the first changes to its reseller
program in five years. The changes were communicated via
email earlier this month to resellers who successfully completed
InfoTool projects during 2007. Under the new plan, all InfoTool
resellers must be 'certified' by the end of 2008. Certification
is achieved by attending and completing the Train-The-Trainer
seminar program (see above Special Feature). In order to
retain certification year-to-year resellers will be required
to meet minimum sales goals.
These goals, along with changes in 2008 compensation structures
and guidelines for developing new client proposals, will
be included in reseller-specific workshops conducted as
part of the InfoTool Train-The-Trainer seminars throughout
the year.
"These changes are an important step in the evolution
of InfoTool and its reseller network," according to
Tim Maroney, InfoTool's new Chief Marketing Officer. "Our
goal," he says," is to be the global leader in
business diagnostic services. In order to achieve this,
we need a level playing field for all resellers, a consistent
brand message across continents, improvements in the overall
productivity of our resellers, and well-managed expectations
for the division of labor in each contract."
Resellers who are already certified or have already met
minimum annual sales requirements in the last 12 months
will not have to be re-certified, he said. "All resellers
who are not certified should enroll in the April Train-the-Trainer
seminar, or have someone from their organization attend,"
he added.
The formation of InfoTool's Platinum Team announced in
InfoTool Insights in December continues to take
shape and make news around the world. Platinum Team leader
Barbara Annis, President of Barbara Annis & Associates,
a global gender and diversity training company, has announced
that her client Nissan has become the first Japanese company
to win the coveted Catalyst award.
"The project is aimed at creating an environment that
will bring more women into the management ranks at Nissan
in Japan and effectively make use of their skills,"
Ms. Annis reports. She says "The initiative is called
Women in the Driver Seat: Gender Diversity as a Lever in
Japan. The project is a response to both the influence Japanese
women have on car purchases and the managerial talent shortages
Japan is beginning to face."
Catalyst is the annual award that honors exceptional initiatives
from companies that support and advance women in business.
"Catalyst believes that companies with diverse leadership
teams encourage openness and foster innovation," says
Ilene H. Lang, President of Catalyst.
Now known as the Global Platinum Group, the InfoTool-organized
team of world-renown experts gives InfoTool clients and
resellers the ability to take the lessons learned through
their surveys to the next step by applying best practice
solutions to improve management processes, strengthen organizational
leadership, improve cultural dynamics and more.

Creating
We
Change I-Thinking to WE-Thinking & Build a
Healthy, Thriving Organization
by Judith Glazer
If only they would...!
They screwed up—it's their fault! I have
my own goals and numbers to meet!
Me. Us. Them. These seemingly innocent pronouns
have the power to stymie growth and erode unity
within companies of all sizes. In Creating WE,
visionary executive coach Judith E. Glaser goes
right to the root of the problem, revealing how
an "I-centric" work environment can
doom your company to failure. Whether your company
has recently been acquired, merged, restructured,
downsized, or simply demoralized, this revolutionary
book shows you how to help your team create a
healthy "WE-centric" environment, one
that can achieve extraordinary breakthrough success.
The DNA of Leadership
Leverage Your Instincts To: Communicate, Differentiate,
Innovate By
Judith E. Glaser
Just as your
DNA may determine your destiny, a company's
organizational DNA may determine its destiny.
The DNA of Leadership helps you understand how
to shape your company's genetic code for success.
Expert author Judith E. Glaser identifies the
seven vital leadership practices that can reshape
an organization into a WE-centric culture-a
culture that enables people to effectively work
together during times of organizational change.
"Graft" these seven practices onto
meetings, conversations, and strategic initiatives,
and you can leverage talent, maximize results,
and boost profits in amazing ways.
Misaligned companies, like cars out of alignment,
can develop serious problems if not corrected
quickly. They are hard to steer and don't respond
well to changes in direction. This groundbreaking
book shows you how to get - and keep - all the
vital elements of your organization aligned and
headed in the same direction at the same time.
As pioneers of the alignment concept, the authors
have developed this unique approach based on their
work with leading companies throughout the world.
The Power of Alignment is packed with war stories
and the firsthand perspectives of industry leaders.
In essence, alignment links the five key elements
of an organization - people, process, customers,
business strategies, and, of course, leadership
- to obtain breakthrough results, chief among
them, sustained growth and profit, loyal customers,
and a high-performing work force.
Do men and women really speak different languages?
Barbara Annis, the world's leading gender specialist,
offers a fascinating and practical guide to
how gender differences at work lead to misunderstandings
- and what you can do about it.
Barbara Annis has discovered that men and women
often misinterpret each other or speak in ways
that mislead the other. She reveals the top
five 'challenges' men and women experiences
with the opposite sex at work, the blind spots
and different communication styles men and women
have, and gives strategies for improving communication
between the sexes. Barbara Annis also covers
topics such as conflict resolution, harassment
in the workplace, and uses real-life scenarios
and practical techniques to turn communication
into win-win relationships.
Gregory
Goose's Leadership Secret
While
it's no secret that first-time C-Suite executives
often ask themselves with some urgency, "New
job, now what?" there exists a fresh way
to see how sharing power can release the leadership
potential in others and enhance your own executive
leadership abilities.
Which brings us to the Leadership Secret of
Gregory Goose. It's an in-depth workshop featuring
animated video (of Gregory the Goose, of course),
a comprehensive Leader's Guide and PowerPoint
presentation.
Created by Judith E. Glaser, author of Creating
We and The DNA of Leadership,
the workshop will help newly minted executives
identify the difference between old leadership
and new leadership, define key terms, create
inclusive and vital conversations in the workplace
to strengthen relationships, develop an action
plan and achieve business results.
